General Facts:
-
Hidden mobs do
not show up on where.
-
Anyone can use the
hunt command. However, the information provided will likely be
false if you do not have the skill practiced.
Questing Facts:
-
Questor will only
select a mob you can see at the time you request a quest. If you
cannot see any mobs (i.e. you are blind or asleep), he will reset
your quest time to 1 minute.
-
Players over level
100 will have at least 20 minutes to complete a quest.
Questing 101:
The hardest part of
questing is probably finding where your mob is. Here are some tips
to help you go about finding your mob.
-
Have a plan of action.
If you don’t know where your quest mob is in an area, choose
a starting point and search from there, following every path but
always beginning from your starting point. This method may be
slow, but it works almost every time.
-
Be patient. Some
quests can take almost all your allotted quest time to find and
kill your quest mob. Never give up, never surrender! ^_^
-
If you need to,
use hunt if you have the skill practiced. However, don’t
use it as a crutch. Otherwise, you’ll be crippled in campaigns
and global quests.
-
If you still can't
find your quest mob, try looking at web sites with maps to point
you to the room your quest mob is in. However, do not rely on
maps to help you find mobs. You will be severely crippled during
global quests where time is of the essense.
-
If you absolutely
must fail a quest, be sure to go back and look for the mob you
couldn’t find. That way, if you get the same quest again,
you’ll know exactly where to go.
-
In that horrid 30
minutes between quests, go out and walk around new areas that
you haven’t visited yet. This will help you when you have
quests to that area or to mobs you discovered while walking to
that area!
-
Don’t use speedwalks
as your lifeline. Some places are marked by mobs and if you run
past them, there is a good chance you’ll run right by your
quest mob or area.
