You come upon a splendid,
white marble fountain adorned with elaborate carved depictions of
the Daoine Sidhe's history and legends. Pure, ambrosial orange flows
into the pool, beckoning to passers-by to enjoy a sip from it. You
notice many Fae pass through here, but one in particular catches
your eye as she sits at the fountain's edge.
She is a young, humanoid,
blue-green anthro-dragoness whose emerald and blue scales seem to
gleam and shimmer as she moves. Two large wings flow down from her
back and her long tail oscillates back and forth, as if exhibiting
her contemplative nature. Her bright green eyes sparkle as she watches
you, showing a deeply hidden and forbidden intellect as well as
a compassionate wisdom. The crimson symbols painted on various parts
of her body, along with the few garments that she wears, give her
a very tribalistic aura. A butterfly alights from her shoulder as
she speaks to you when you approach. "You must have questions
... allow me to answer them."

Is the Daoine Sidhe
a PK Clan?
We only allow a
limited version of PK, including all the stuff non clanned members
can do (warfare, combat maze, duels, bounty hunting, etc.) and in
self defense (defending yourself from an attacker and protecting
the clan hall). That means no raiding. WE
don't counter raid, we make fun of raiders with items (Vanir!!!)
and with cute poems and one liners.
I've read your help file and
web pages, but you have conflicting joining requirements. What
do I need and what do I have to do?
The joining requirements
listed in the help file and our clan charter web page were Daoine's
original joining requirements. However, we have modified and updated
our requirements since we first became an official clan of Aardwolf.
You can find these requirements on our Joining
web page.
Why
do you have to have SOOO many quest points?
We want to make sure
everyone who enters the clan has a good general knowledge of the
MUD and can walk around without using speedwalks as a lifeline.
This rule makes sure that everyone in the clan can do that.
Why
did you raise your level limit?
Originally, the minimum
level was 15 to allow all those questing newbies (read: supernewbies),
who spend as much time questing as a superhero does leveling, a
chance to get into our clan if they fit in. However, after much
thought, it was decided that without going past a certain level,
it would be impossible to have knowledge of areas other than newbie
areas.
What
Fae myths do you base your clan on?
Every single one of
them. All Fae mythology has a place in our clan, but we tend to
focus generally on Celtic mythology, as that is what our clan is
based around!
With
all this crazy stuff, what is the Sidhe's largest goal?
We want to send the
word that Aardwolf is just a game and it is supposed to be fun for
everyone! We try to do this by participating in Mud-wide games,
helping other people, and through our actions out in the world!
What's
the deal with Puck and his oatmeal raisin cookies anyhow?
Long ago, Puck wandered
into a cookie shop and ate his first ever Oatmeal Raisin Cookie.
Ever since, he has been in love with them!
If you find your question
isn't answered here, you can drop us a line on the Aardwolf Personal
board, addressed to "Daoine", or send an email to
