The tank has the primary task of tanking. This consists mainly of using the 'rescue' command effectively.

You must also, of course, remain non-blinded. This consists mostly of being able to cast 'cure blind' during combat.

In short:

• Type look whenever there is fighting going on.
• Check who the raiders are attacking.
• Rescue anyone who is being ganged up on by more than one or two raiders at a time.

You should have one or two buddies who should take care of your hp. You should of course rescue these guys quite often as they're likely to be getting attacked.

You should, of course, be poisoned prior to any combat in order to avoid being strangled.
